Tonio`s Pizza in Avalon

Tonio's Pizza always delivers a fresh order. We love the pizza and most all of the dishes on the menu. They are great about altering a food item to make sure we can eat it. The delivery guys are friendly and funny. We eat here year round and enjoy the service and the food!

SLOW and disappointing. Chewy dough, overcooked, dry cheese, no flavor. Disorganized operation.... head guy screaming at his co-workers.... ugh!

Plain slice of pizza was excellent

Ordered pizza drys took an hour and 20 minutes for them to deliver it 3 blocks away by the time I got it it was cold and soggy and just plain harable ended up throwing it away

Well, it was spring in Avalon on a weekday. Nothing was open, so it was pretty slim pickings, but we picked Tonio's for lunch. I ordered 3 slices and a drink, which came to 11 dollars and change. I wasn't real happy about that. The slice pie had just come out, so our slices came immediately. Hot and fresh. The pizza is pretty good, very cheesy, a little droopy when you fold it. The staff was nice, and the place was clean. I would go there again, if it didn't hurt my pocket as much.

I ordered dinner for pickup. When I got my order, I asked of everything was in the bag, and I was assured twice that it was. I went all the way home only to discover that half my order was missing. When I went back, they threw the other half of the order into my hands, without even apologizing. This is poor customer service, especially given the place was slow at the time I got there. Food was 4-stars. Really unfortunate that the service was subpar.

Great pizza. Open late too which is great if your leaving the bar late looking for pie.

OVER PRICED RAW PIZZA, and I mean this pizza still needed another 5 minutes. It probably costs them less than 3 bucks, but it does comes with a side of attitude from the help. If your lucky, one of their delivery drivers won't run you over as they rip up and down 24th street.

Stopped here for lunch in the Fall. Surprised that it was sort of packed. That kind of told me that the food was pretty good. I definitely wasn't disappointed. My coworker and I had 2 slices of pizza apiece. It was some of the best pizza I've ever had. It was flavorful with a nice thin crust. The service was really good. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly. It just felt like a great atmosphere. Parking was ok. We parked on the street. There appeared to be a small lot to park in but since we had a truck, we opted to park on the street.Overall I'd give this pizzeria a solid 5 stars. If the pizza that we had was an example of how good the rest of their menu is, I'll eat there again.Good eating plus friendly service is a win / win....

Pizza was just ok. Slices were on the small side for the money. Counter service was dreadfully slow. We ordered slices and it was apparent that the young lady at the register only wanted to take the order and nothing else. The pizza was already made but the whole process to warm it up was ridiculous. Then she piled 6 slices on top of each other in one box. Just passing through.

Pretty much the beast place to eat on the island! Hands down. They like to fish too;)

I have a wonderful experience every time I eat at this establishment. The food and service are always excellent. You cannot go wrong with anything off of the menu. Great family owned pizzeria. Tonio's is a must when you visit Avalon!

Good quality comfort food at a good price!! Our Stromboli was very good and our meatball sandwich was also delicious!!

I go to this place frequently whenever I'm working in the Avalon area or passing through and have some spare time. One of my favorite places for pizza and they have a wide menu to choose from. Little more on the expensive side but considering the area that's located and the individual attention it's worth it. Place it's definitely good.

Had the best meal... blackened Maui Maui topped with crab and tomato’s!!! This place is a real find- great atmosphere, wonderful service and delicious food.

Biggest rip off on the island. Ordered the Buffalo shrimp and it came with 4 mini shrimp and a decent amount of average fries. Cost? $14! Of course the description wouldn't say how many shrimp come but for $14, we expected a few more than 4. Worst part was the customer service. Lady on the phone only said one word when I called and asked how this could be. "Yeah". She just kept on agreeing with me until I hung up. Don't waste your $.

On my Saturday night trek's home from the Princeton, I stop here 58% of the time. It's a pizza joint, they serve pizza, I eat it, I leave happy.

Average pizza at best, took 2 HOURS to deliver 5 min away. Absurd. Never like to see it especially from competitors like Tonios

Food great. Fresh hand breaded chicken on my chicken parm sandwich, amazing pizza and great tomato mozzarella salad. Service was great when I ate in and delivery was on time when I ordered.

B T should shut up and stop complaining. Hes a moron. This is the best pizza place in south jersey islands. Great food,great owners. This is the only place i will get pizza when i get lunch for work. Yes they are pricey but your on the island, what do you expect?

Pizza was good, fries were good but my Italian sandwich looked like a New York city cab driver sat on it for a week then served it to me, no love in my sandwich whatsoever was just thrown together

Great pizza 🍕 would come any day. And to the weirdo complaining about sprite....did you ever think about re-evaluating yourself before giving a restaurant one star over a sprite and an employee tasting it after to see if the sprite was fixed? Wawa is two blocks down, grab yourself a bottle of sprite, and try not to badger someone over a $2 soda.

Used to be good... I've been coming to Cape May every year for about 5 years now. The first few years I used to love the pizza here. Thin crispy crust. It used go be delicious. Last year the pizza wasn't really great, but I thought maybe they had a bad night.. I'm here again this year and went to get a pie.. it wasn't cooked all the way.. just mushy... I looked at other similar reviews. Sadly I won't be back again.
